Dear User,
License keys can be purchased through the Ivideon personal account. After your camera is attached to your personal account, the system will offer you to pusrchase a license key for your camera. The copy of the license key will be sent to the email you use to log in to your personal account. If you remove or re-attach the camera, you can use the same license key again.

If you connect your camera using the IP Webcam application directly to our cloud, you won't be able to save your footage on a PC with Ivideon Server installed. This way you can use only our cloud storage, or you can try to save videos on your phone, but currently there is no way to watch videos saved on your phone storage/SD-card via our service.

However, if you use some 3rd-party software to get a MJPEG/RTSP link to the videostream from your mobile  device camera (IP Webcam can be used as well), then you can connect your camera through Ivideon Server application, as specified here: http://www.ivideon.com/get/ When you connect your camera this way you are able to use local archiving.

Answered: Alerts via website?

Hello dear User!

Please accept my sincerest apologies for having kept you waiting for so long.

I would like to note that in your Ivideo Personal account, the preview of the camera changes within up to 30 seconds (it also depends on the broadband speed in the place where the camera is located, and in the speed of the internet connection in the place you are watching the preview). And currently, in the Personal account there is no such an option of forming the list of alerts as it is in mobile app.

The snapshots that show what motion/sound caused the alert, come on your e-mail address (if the e-mail notifications are activated), and on your mobile device (if the push-notifications are activated).

However, you could write us and concisely describe this suggestion at support@ivideon.com so that we could tranfer this info to our developer team.

Hello!

Please accept our sincerest apologies for the prolonged response.

It should be first noted that you can add any IP camera supporting an RTSP or MJPEG URLs to the video stream to the Ivideon Server.
If you want to add an IP camera to Ivideon Server, please do the following:
1. Open Ivideon Server (if it is already working, press Stop).
2. Right click on the icon "IP Cameras".
3. Choose the option "Add IP Camera".
4. In the box that you see indicate the name of the camera (you can write any name you want), the manufacturer, the model, ip address, the login/password to the web-interface of the camera, and the port if it is necessary.
If your camera is not given in the list of cameras supported by Ivideon Server, apply to the manufacturers of this device. Inform them that you are going to connect this device to Ivideon service and to do it you need either RTSP or MJPEG URL to a video stream. Perhaps, you will find these URLs in the manual for the camera.
A proper MJPEG URL should open the video in a browser, for example, Chrome, and RTSP URL should open it in VLC player (http://videolan.org). After you try your camera, send us the received URL, and we will add support for your device to Ivideon Server.
When you are given the URL to a video stream of the camera, please insert the working URL into the URL field and choose the position “Other manufacturer” in the field “Manufacturer” (the model should be by default).
5. If you need it, you can indicate supplementary parameters in the Advanced Settings.
6. Press the button of preview, if everything is correct, the video from the camera should open. If the video doesn’t open, look through points 4, 5.
7. Close the window of preview and press “OK”.
8. Press the Start button in the Server and the camera should become available in your Personal account or in Ivideon Server.

N.B. The Ivideon Server app and PC should be constantly running to provide a video stream.
You may also review this article http://www.ivideon.com/help/hardware-setup/how-do-i-add-an-ip-camera-to-ivideon-server/

In addition, I would like to pay your attention that you can watch the live footage and the archive from the camera/s via the Ivideon Personal account, via the Ivideon Client app for desktop (can be downloaded from this page http://www.ivideon.com/downloads/) and for mobile apps (can get it in App Store/Google Play).

Should you have some questions, please feel free to ask!

If you have any troubles when you try to view these recordings, please forward the access rights to online video and archive recordings from your camera for support@ivideon.com in order we could diagnose the problem from our side. Hello dear User!

Please accept my sincerest apologies for having kept you waiting for so long.
Could you please specify where you are trying to watch the video archive from?

If you are trying to watch the archive via your Personal account, please select the camera you need, and a bit lower there should be a timeline with the archive (it is blue colored), then you click on some other period of time with the cursor and there should appear the video recorded.

If you are trying to watch the archive locally, I would like to clarify some information upon it.

You can watch the live broadcast from your camera/s via Ivideon mobile app on your mobile device (the Ivideon app can be installed from App store/Google play), also via Ivideon Client for desktop (you can download it here http://www.ivideon.com/downloads/).

In case your cameras are subscribed to the Free pricing plan, you can view (and export) the archive from the camera via the Ivideon Client app after having configured the local server in this app.

So, to view locally your recorded archive on your PC with Ivideon Server app installed, please perform the following steps:
1) Open the Ivideon Server and stop it.
2) Click "Settings".
3) select the tab "Local view", tick the box "Local view" and set a password to access the local server, if required. Click "OK".
4) Start the server.
5) Launch the application Ivideon Client, the open the settings menu (the wrench icon).
6) Click "Add a local server."
7) in the dialog box, select the flag corresponding to the location of the Ivideon Server (on your computer or on a computer on the local network).
8) Enter any name for the server and password (if it was earlier indicated).
9) Click "OK."
Done! Now, select the server from the list of cameras in Ivideon Client, you can watch the records locally as well as export them. The videos are exported in a format mp4. The maximum duration of the exported track is 2 hours.
Please note that to watch the live broadcast and the video archive is available only when the Ivideon server is running (the Start button in Ivideon Server should be pressed)!

If something has been missed in our answer, please describe the steps you follow and tell us when exactly the problems occur.

We are waiting for your reply!

According to the information in our system Ivideon Server (Scan-2) attached to account under your email address is now stopped. Please let us know if the camera you're trying to connect is attached to another server (wanda). Just to make sure, did you try to get preview from the camera in Ivideon Server app (the "eye" button near the URL field)?

Nest cam is not compatible with our service since it is a camera with its own service. If you'd like to connect to Ivideon we advise you to have a look at the camera with our firmware installed - Oco http://getoco.com/. This camera can be connected to our system via mobile Ivideon app.

In case you want to connect your mobile device`s camera to Ivideon Server, please do the following:
You should have your telephone in the same LAN with your computer.
Please, go to Local broadcasting->set the password and login if needed (you may leave blank if you don`t need security)->return to the main menu. Cloud streaming → untick “Cloud streaming active”. Now return to the main menu and choose Start Server → How do I connect → Connect directly → I'm using Wi-fi router. Now you can add your camera to Ivideon Server. The application will show you your camera's IP adress with a port (looks like 192.168.1.96:8080).
Launch Ivideon Server (if it is already running, press the “Stop” button).
Right click on “IP Cameras”. Select "Add IP Camera" from the pop-up menu. Select the camera manufacturer (Other manufacturer) and model (Default). Press “Edit URL” (a button with three dots) and  insert a link to the videostream of your camera. Please, try the following: http://192.168.1.199:8080/videofeed where 192.168.1.199:8080 is your IP with a port, provided by IP webcam application-> Indicate login/password you`ve set in the Local broadcasting menu or leave it empty if you did not set login/password.

Done! Now start Ivideon Server and view video in your personal account.
To configure a local archive, please, check if the option "Archive" in “Settings” is ticked. In the field "Path" you can find the directory, where the archive is saved.
Choose the record type: Right-click on your camera -> Settings -> Recording -> choose "When detector is triggered". Then go back and start Ivideon Server.
